Jennifer "Jenn" Crane is a trusts and estates attorney whose work sits at the crossroads of health care law, elder law, and fiduciary practice. As Fiduciary Officer and Wealth Strategist for a national trust company, she guides families, fiduciaries, and institutions through complex planning decisions that balance wealth management with the unique medical, financial, and legal needs of individuals with disabilities and aging loved ones. Her dual background in law and health care systems gives her uncommon insight into how trusts interact with Medicaid, Medicare, long-term care, and other benefits programs—helping clients protect both assets and access to care.
Jenn began her legal career after graduating from Catholic University’s Columbus School of Law, clerking for Judge Zinora Mitchell-Rankin of the D.C. Superior Court. Since entering private practice in 2007, she has earned a reputation as a trusted counselor on matters where financial stewardship and health care law collide.
A recognized leader in her field, Jenn holds the Accredited Estate Planner (AEP®) designation and was named a Qualified Master Counselor in Trusts and Estates by the Virginia Law Foundation in 2023. That same year, she was invited to join the Special Needs Alliance, a national coalition of attorneys selected for their expertise in serving individuals with disabilities and their families.
Passionate about mentoring and education, Jenn also serves as an adjunct professor at George Mason University and William & Mary Law School, where she teaches advanced courses on trusts, estates, and special needs planning—preparing law students to carry forward both the technical mastery and human empathy these areas demand.
Outside of her professional life, Jenn and her husband keep pace with their five children and two energetic dogs—living proof that resilience, responsiveness, and humor are just as essential at home as they are in the practice of law.
